Private castle still inhabited by the same family, Cheverny is open to the public every day of the year.

Cheverny is considered the best furnished castle of the Loire Valley : Gobelins and Flanders tapestries, Louis the 14th and 15th chests of drawers, bedroom of the King and a thousand other marvels to delight you.

Cheverny castle also served as a model to draw Marlinkspike Hall, the famous Captain Haddock’s castle in the comic book “Tintin”, created by a belgian artist : Hergé. There’s an interactive exhibition in the castle, retracing the adventures of Tintin in Marlinspike Hall.

After your visit, you will have the opportunity to take a stroll around the park and discover the gardens of the castle. You will also be able to appreciate the beauty and the size of the park with an electric car or boat ride. The kennels, hosting a hound of 100 Franco-English three-coloured hunting dogs, are also accessible.
